Sarah Farooqui Crosses to the Darker Side

(January 21, 2009, Los Angeles, CA)  In her first lead role in an American film, British actress Sarah Farooqui goes for the darker side, playing Sai, a beautiful new age artist who is seduced into a world of unimaginable horror by a desire to do what ever it takes to inspire her art. Her lust will destroy all those she loves.

Bled, directed by Christopher Hutson. is a new twist on the popular vampire legend. At her first gallery showing, Sai (Farooqui) meets a handsome stranger (Jonathan Oldham) who introduces her to a rare drug made from the bark of an ancient tree. Inhaling the smoke from its sap, Sai becomes the willing prey of a dimensional vampire (Ivan A. Moody) who will use her blood to gain in strength, and her lust to cross over from his world to hers.

Distributed by Lionsgate, the film is due to be released on DVD in April 2009 and produced by Jeffrey Allard (Executive producer: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre).
